Watch fish being fish. Recording in 2-3fow under 18 inches of ice. Many fish are curious of the camera, some even attack!

Recording in 5-6fow in December, as the water cools, many fish begin to congregate together in certain areas, sometimes staying there through the winter.

Recording in 5fow, many species of fish can be found grouped together here, Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Sunfish, Northern Pike, White and Black Crappie, Yellow Perch, White Perch, suckers, carp, shad, even goldfish!

Recording in sunny, bright conditions today, many fish have a tendency to sit in the same spot for longer periods of time or make slower, smaller moves through the same area.

Recording in very cloudy, low light conditions today, these fish seem to be in constant motion.

Often, bigger crappie and other fish will hang together with schools of gizzard shad. Maybe for protection from predators.

Recording in 5fow, many species of fish can be found swimming together here. Often times, especially during sunny days, they will tend to stay put in one area for longer periods of time. It would seem, during cloudy days and low light conditions, the opposite is true, fish will move around much more even if it is back and forth through the same area.

Recording in 8fow, Emerald Shiners, Spot tail Minnows and Silversides occupy the top 1-2feet of the water column while thousands of Threadfin Shad swim by just below. A school of Crappie also take up residence around a lawn chair that sunk to the bottom.

Recording in 2-3fow under the ice, Yellow Perch are very curious fish, checking out the camera and even attacking it at times. Sound travels through water very well, listen close and you can hear geese honking and other sounds from above.

December on Lake St. Clair, a pile of fish hanging out in a wintering area. Bluegill, Sunfish, Crappie, Largemouth Bass, Carp, Perch and Shad all can be found here

January on Lake St. Clair, filming in 6 feet of very clear water. I could see schools of shad, Bluegill and Crappie from the surface as I placed my cameras. This video shows 25 minutes of real time footage condensed into 6minutes 31seconds
